Welcome to our Adult Education Opportunities page! Here, you'll discover enriching avenues for spiritual growth and community connection through our Angell Class and Jubilee Class offerings. Explore the unique curriculum and schedules designed to deepen your faith journey and foster meaningful relationships within our church family. We invite you to embark on a journey of discovery and growth with us! Both classes meet around 9:45am on Sunday mornings.
THE ANGELL CLASS
The Angell Class is a supportive group of free-thinking individuals interested in studying scripture from spiritual, historical, and practicable viewpoints. The class is following The Revised Common Lectionary published by the Vanderbilt Divinity School as a guide to scripture to be studied.
PLEASE feel free to open our door and join the class. We begin to gather around 9:45 am on Sunday mornings with coffee and snacks, followed by a sharing of prayer concerns and celebrations. The sharing of thoughts on the weekly scripture starts around 10:00 am. The discussions include serious and humorous points offered by class members.

THE JUBILEE CLASS
The Jubilee Class is a diverse group spanning a broad age group of individuals with a range of interests and viewpoints who enjoy a discussion format on an endless variety of subjects and how they relate to and promote our personal Christian faith and values. Our class is open to all who wish to attend, whether it is one time, when a topic interests them, every Sunday or any frequency in between.
Our attendees include individuals who are in their 30s (or under) through their 90s (or near there). We come from different faith backgrounds. Individuals hold traditional beliefs and non-traditional beliefs. We maintain a atmosphere of receptivity to expressions and opinions, we encourage everyone to feel free to speak, whether it is to ask questions or express a viewpoint. Paramount to our time together, there is no criticism or judgement.
Our programs are based solely upon the suggestions and interests of members and include, but are not limited to, traditional Bible study, book reviews, history, current issues, other cultures and religions, music, mission activities and anything else members suggest. Most often, programs are led by members of the class, but sometimes guests lead us, including other church members, church staff and guests from outside our church.
